Dave previously led cybersecurity at EY in the Americas, managing their cyber business and serving clients across various sectors. He also served as PwC's Global Cybersecurity Leader, developing business strategies and working with multinational clients. Dave has collaborated with global corporations, law firms, regulators, and government agencies, emphasizing adaptability to regulatory changes and the importance of safeguarding sensitive information and critical systems.
In addition to his work in cybersecurity, Dave has extensive experience in dispute analysis and investigation. He started his career at PwC in the dispute analysis and investigation unit, where he participated in major financial crime investigations such as WorldCom, Computer Associates, and Adelphia Communication. Dave also worked on the Delta/Northwest merger and addressed stock option backdating matters, FCPA issues, and other domestic and international investigations. During the 2008 banking crisis, Dave led substantial projects for banks in the United States and has experience working in the U.S. Federal sector. Over time, cybersecurity became Dave's primary focus, leading multiple cyber incident response teams that resulted in significant cyber transformation initiatives.
Dave shares insights on cybersecurity topics such as end-to-end solutions, incident response, and threat intelligence. He has lectured at universities including Stanford, NYU, Georgetown, and Penn State, and has presented before Corporate Boards. His work is featured in national news outlets like the Wall Street Journal and CNBC. Dave speaks at major conferences such as SXSW, the World Economic Forum, Gartner Security Summit, Mobile World Congress, and RSA.
Dave holds an MBA from William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business and a B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania. He is on the Business School Foundation Board at William & Mary, the Cyber Fellows Advisory Council at NYU, the public company Board of CoinCheck Group in Japan, and the Private Company board of Waterleaf International.
