AT A GLANCE

David Lu is a managing director and leader of the Corporate Finance practice in Greater China, based in the Shanghai office.

Prior to joining the firm, David served as managing director and head of Asia investment banking of Cowen and Company Asia. He was responsible for all aspects of Cowen’s businesses in Asia including capital markets, M&A and private placements. Before that, he held the title of the Head of China Investment Banking at Rodman & Renshaw, where he spearheaded the firm’s capital markets presence in China. Previously, David was the Chief China Representative at Piper Jaffray, where he built and led the investment banking team. Earlier in his career, David worked at DBS, Vickers Financial and Salomon Smith Barney.

David holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School, a law degree (L.L.B.) from Western University and a B.A.Sc in systems engineering from the University of Toronto.
