Michael specializes in structuring and negotiating government-sponsored incentive packages and managing complex property tax consulting engagements nationwide. His industry expertise spans energy, manufacturing, telecom, automotive, transportation and logistics. His experience includes advising on large-scale energy investments, corporate relocations, state and local tax due diligence, valuation appeals, acquisition-related tax planning, litigation support, compliance and property tax exemptions.
Prior to joining Kroll, Michael served as a property tax advisor at Thomson Reuters and Deloitte, following his early career as a property tax appraiser with the Travis County Appraisal District.
He is an active member of several professional organizations and has previously served on boards and committees, including the Energy Workforce & Technology Council, the Credits & Incentives Committee for Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT), the National Association of Realtors, the Austin Board of Realtors and the Texas Real Estate Commission. Michael frequently speaks at industry events such as Council on State Taxation (COST) and IPT conferences and has contributed to public hearings on state and local tax programs.
Michael holds a BBA from the McCoy School of Business at Texas State University. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designee and holds an active property tax consultants license.
